LAA SR pilot license renewal

Dear member,

in order to extend or renew your LAA SR pilot license which is going to expire soon or it has already expired you need to follow the steps mentioned below. It is necessary to pay the membership fee for the year to enable its extension or renewal.

A pilot license extended before the given deadline

If you extend your pilot license before the given deadline, you need to fill in a document – Personal-Information-Sheet-valid-from-25.05.2018, where parts A, B and C are filled in by you and part E is confirmed by a doctor. For motorless flying sport devices (FSD) a confirmation from a general practitioner is enough, for motor versions the medical examination of 2nd grade by a physician in charge is necessary. Filled original of the personal letter (for motor FSD also a copy of the health card issued by a physician in charge) send to the secretariat of LAA SR.

How long is the pilot license extended for?

For pilots who are less than 50 years old, pilot license is extended for two years from the date of the physical examination. For older pilots extension is for one year if the physician has not determined else.

However if the pilot has the physical examination of 2nd (or higher) grade, where the physician determines other validity of medical fitness, for example 5 years, the pilot license is extended for 2 years, but then only filling parts A, B and C of the Personal letter in and writing that the medical examination is still valid in part E is enough.
